A very special paragliding trip to the Alps. Devoted to celebrate the great sport experience of paragliding. For twelve days we will follow the best flying weather across the most famous flying sites of the Alps (Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France, and Slovenia). During the 2018 to 2022's trips we flew in Italy (Dolomites, Speikboden - South Tyrol, Dollada - Valbelluna, Feltre - Southern Dolomites, Bassano, Cavallaria, Meduno) , Slovenia (Soca Valley), and France (Chamonix, Annecy). Where will the flying weather take us in 2023? Are you thinking about your first 100km flight in the Alps, or about a cloudbase at 4,500m, or maybe about learning to fly FAI triangles? This is the trip to give these goals a chance in the top alpine scenery. Check out a video from a sample flight during 2017 Antofaya XC Camp.

Note: This trip is back-to-back with our Bassano & Southern Dolomites trip. For pilots participating in the two trips we provide free transportation between the trips' locations.

  Trip Description
Early morning start for a long XC flight :: Grente Alm above Antholz valley in Italian South Tyrol. The essence of high mountain cross country :: Your host Jarek flying high above the main spine of the Alps on the border between Italy and Austria in the area of the Brener pass during 2017 edition of the Antofaya XC Camp

During the XC Camp we focus on distance flying in spectacular mountain scenery. (See below "area of operations"). The idea is to promote among pilots high mountain alpine cross country flying while having great flying holidays with a friendly and adventurous group. And above all have safe fun in the air and on the ground, just great flying vacations.

We travel following the most promising weather forecast in the Alps. Our travel/retrieve van has an experienced retrieve driver. We stay at quality mountain hotels, guesthouses, or vacation appartments. This is a guided trip and I will devote all my time and local Alps knowledge to each participating pilot. Participants will get coaching in the air and on the ground. As an experienced paragliding guide I will provide all information about relevant flying sites. Every evening we will have a briefing planing flying routes for the next day and studying maps of the terrain. After each flying day we will analyze our flight logs and talk about our flights. Learning the flying weather forecasting will be crucial part of the trip.

To join you need to be ready for a great adventure and hungry for xc distance, have a paragliding pilot license and your own equipment. You need to be a self sufficient pilot with at least some thermaling experience. And better yet have already some xc flights behind your belt. We meet at Venice airport.
