This season we are orgenizing the ninth incarnation of our Expedition Explorers. The plan is to explore uncharted and never before explored valleys, rivers, and fjords on the western side of The Northern Patagonian Icefield. We will focus on the area of Benito glacier and the three sister Acodado glaciers. Additionally if time and resources permit we will explore recently dried out the outflow river of the biggest glacier of the Northern Patagonian Ice Field - San Quintin across from Istmo Ofqui. This is your chance to visit places where nobody ever been in human history. We will start and end the expedition at Laguna San Rafael. Paddling packrafts between icebergs, crossing never-ending meadows, 20 mile long sandy beach, Andean peaks, and roaring calving glaciers guaranteed. The Expedition will be led by Jarek Wieczorek - unquestionably the most knowledgeable expert on the area. All participants need to have previous wilderness experience but nor technical climbing nor technical white water experience is necessary.
See photo albums from some of ours previous expeditions to the area: Price of participation: apx. $3000 - $2000 for participants fully equipped with their own equipment and supplies depending on the number of participants. Detailed description of the trip soon to appear here. In the meantime please contact Jarek for more information. |
